This policy (ā€œPolicyā€ or ā€œPrivacy Policyā€) describes how Million Pugs Ltd (ā€œMillionPugsā€ or ā€œwe,ā€) collect, use and disclose data about you, including in the context of our websites at https://www.millionpugs.com/ and related subdomains (collectively, the ā€œSiteā€), our web browser extension (for browsers supported by MillionPugs) (ā€œBrowser Extensionā€), and other services provided by us on which a link to this Policy is displayed (collectively, together with the Site, our ā€œServiceā€ or ā€œServicesā€), or when you otherwise interact with us, such as through our customer support channels, or on social media pages. We may provide different or additional notices of our privacy practices with respect to certain products or services, in which case this Privacy Policy will not apply.

This Policy describes the information that we gather from you on the Service, how we use and disclose such information, and the steps we take to protect such information. Beyond the Policy, your use of our Service is also subject to our Terms of Service. Please refer to the Terms of Service for the definition of terms, such as pugsā„¢.

Information We Collect on the Service

We collect Personal Information about you from different sources listed below. In this Policy, ā€œPersonal Informationā€ means any information related to an identified or identifiable individual, and does not include data that cannot identify you or another individual (such as anonymous data).

Information You Provide

  • Registration information. When you register for an account on our Site, you provide us with Personal Information such as your first and last name, email address and password, phone number, payment information and any other information you choose to provide.

  • Contact information. When you reach out to us with a query, through the Site, email or otherwise, you provide us with Personal Information such as your name, email address, address, and other information you voluntarily provide as part of the communications.

Information We Collect Automatically

Identifiers and information about your use. When you use the Service, we and third parties may automatically collect your IP address or other device address or ID, web browser information, the web pages or sites that you visit just before or just after you use the Service, the pages or other content you view or otherwise interact with on the Service, and the dates and times that you visit, access, or use the Service, advertising identifiers and potentially non-personal information about your device including model, version and operating system.

We may also collect information regarding your interaction with email messages, such as whether you opened, clicked on, or forwarded a message. If you use our Browser Extension, we process Affiliate Network cookies for the purposes of determining if you are on a partner site, and whether the cashback has been activated. You can also use the Browser Extension to express interest in shopping on a website and earning pugsā„¢, in which case we will collect information about your visit to the website (including the URL) so that we can consider seeking a partnership with that website so you can earn pugsā„¢.

  • Location information. When you use the Service, we obtain information about your approximate physical location by inference from other information we collect (for example, your IP address indicates the general geographic region from which you are connecting to the Internet)

  • Information from Cookies and similar technologies. When you use the Service, we and third parties use cookies to automatically collect information about your visit to and use of the Service (see below under: ā€œHow We Use Cookies and Similar Technologiesā€ for more information). We use cookies, pixels, invisible tags, and similar technologies (collectively ā€œcookiesā€) to collect information about your browsing activities and to distinguish you from other users of our Service. The information collected includes Personal Information, such as your IP address, advertising identifiers, non-personal information about your device including model, version and operating system, the web pages that you visit during, just before or just after you use our Service, as well as information about your interactions with our Site, such the time of your visit and where you have clicked.

  • Content. With your permission, we collect information and content stored on your device, such as your avatar, contacts or photos.

  • Transactional Information: When you make a purchase or return, we collect information about the transaction, such as product and/or service details, purchase price, and the date and location of the transaction.

Information We Collect from Other Sources

  • Information from social media platforms. We obtain Personal Information from social media platforms, such as Facebook or Google, when you link your social media account to MillionPugs. We obtain Personal Information, such as your profile picture and social media handle. Information collected by a third party in this manner is subject to that third partyā€™s own data collection, use, and disclosure policies.

  • Information from Affiliate Networks. We obtain Personal Information from third party networks that facilitate our relationship with the retailers where you can earn pugsā„¢, that help us determine when you have visited such retailersā€™ websites, and that allow us to determine when you have earned pugsā„¢ (collectively, ā€œAffiliate Networksā€). They provide us with Personal Information, including your visit information and purchase information (if you have made a purchase on a retailersā€™ website). A list of our Affiliate Networks is available here.

  • Information from third party service providers. For example, we may obtain Personal Information from identify verification services, fraud prevention services and payment processors.

  • Information from Game Publishers. We obtain Personal Information from game publishers when you use pugsā„¢ to redeem codes for in-game content. For example, Game Publishers may provide us a unique UserID.

How We Use Personal Information

We use Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service. We use the Personal Information that we collect on the Service to operate and provide all features of the Service. For example, to allow you to use the Service, create an account, and to contact you in case of any issue with your account.

  • Providing technical support. We use your Personal Information to provide technical support, including diagnosing and resolving any issues you report.

  • Communicating with you. We may use your Personal Information as necessary to contact you for administrative purposes, including to provide information that you request, and to respond to comments and questions, or to send you technical notices, security alerts, support messages and other transactional or relationship messages.

  • Marketing. We may use your email address and other Personal Information to send marketing communications, including surveys, polls, updates on promotions, and alerts or events relating to products and services offered by us and by third parties with whom we work, such as contests, deals or offers. When we send you emails, we may track whether you open them to learn how to deliver a better customer experience and improve the Service. You can opt out of receiving promotional communications as described below under ā€œYour Privacy Rights and Choices.ā€ Where required under applicable law, we will only send you promotional emails with your opt-in consent.

  • Understanding usage and improving the Service. We use the information that we collect on the Service to understand and analyze the usage trends and preferences of our users, to improve the Service, and to develop new products, services, features, and functionality.

  • Administrative and legal purposes. We may use your Personal Information to address any administrative or legal issues pertaining to MillionPugs, including enforcing our contracts or other legal rights, finding and preventing fraud, responding to trust and safety issues that may arise, complying with legal obligations, detecting and preventing security incidents, protecting the rights and property of MillionPugs and others and defending against legal claims or disputes.

  • Other purposes. We may use your Personal Information for other purposes for which we provide specific notice at the time the Personal Information is collected.

We may also use your Personal Information for the following additional purposes:

  • Personalize the advertisements you see on third-party platforms and websites (for more information, see the Advertising and Analytics section below).

  • Create de-identified, anonymized or aggregated information.

  • Personalize the advertisements you see when you use our Services based on information provided by our advertising partners.

Our Use of European Personal Information

If you are in the European Economic Area, we only process your Personal Information when we have a valid legal basis.

  • Consent. We may use your Personal Information when you have given your consent to do so. For example, to send you marketing communications.

  • Contractual necessity. We may use your Personal Information to perform our end of our contracts with you. For example, to provide you with the Service.

  • Legal obligation. We may use your Personal Information when we are legally required to. For example, to comply with tax and accounting obligations, or to comply with a court order.

  • Legitimate interest. We may use your Personal Information when we have a legitimate interest in doing so. For example, we have a legitimate interest in understanding usage and improving the Service.

How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small pieces of data that may be stored in and retrieved from your web browser while you browse a website. Our Site and Browser Extension use cookies and similar storage technologies to collect information, and for the following purposes:

  1. We utilize persistent cookies to save your login information for future logins to the Service.

  2. We utilize session cookies to enable certain features of the Service, for forgery detection, to better understand how you interact with the Service and to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on the Service.

Unlike persistent cookies, session cookies are deleted from your computer when you log off from the Site and Service and then close your browser. We use the following cookies:

  • Google Analytics & Google Ads. We use Google cookies to collect information about how visitors use our Site and use our Service. This information is used to compile reports and to help us improve our Service. The reports disclose Site trends without identifying individual visitors.   • Facebook Pixel. We use Facebook Pixel to collect information about how visitors use our Site and use our Service. It helps us track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads and remarket to people who have interacted with the website.

  • Algolia. We use Algolia cookies to collect information about the behavior of visitors throughour search tool. This information is used to compile reports to help us improve our Service.

  • Amazon Cognito and Amplify. We use Cognito and Amplify to enable users to log in, identity and authenticate users when they log in and to keep them logged in on our Service. Without these cookies, we will not be able to provide you with our Service and Site.

  • MillionPugs Browser Extension. When you use our Browser Extension, we collect information on your web browsing activities to determine whether you are on a website that offers pugsā„¢, to track your shopping session and credit pugsā„¢ earned by you. We also may collect browsing, product and e-commerce information, including but not limited to product pages viewed, pricing information, location data, purchase history on various merchant websites and services, the price paid for the items, checkout pages viewed, purchase confirmation, and the promotions that applied (including information regarding whether or not a coupon or coupon code is valid or effective). We may also use this information to identify additional websites with which we may seek a partnership so you may earn pugsā„¢ in the future.

We also use web beacons. Our Site may contain electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes called single-pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyze how our Site is used and may be used in some of our emails to let us know which emails and links have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our customer communications and marketing campaigns.

You can block cookies by setting your internet browser to block some or all or cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to earn pugsā„¢, and you may not be able to access all or parts of our Site.

Advertising and analytics

We engage others to provide analytics services and serve advertisements across the web and in mobile apps. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites and applications, including your IP address, web browser, mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages or in mobile apps, links clicked, and conversion information. This information may be used by MillionPugs and others to, among other things, analyze and track data, determine the popularity of certain content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests on our Services and other websites, and better understand your online activity. We may disclose Personal Information to the following recipients and in the following circumstances.

  • Vendors and service providers. We work with third party service providers who provide website, application development, hosting, maintenance, and other services to us. These third parties may have access to or process Personal Information about you as part of providing those services for us.

  • Analytics Partners. We use analytics services such as Google Analytics to collect and process certain analytics data. These services may also collect information about your use of other websites, apps, and online resources. Affiliate Networks identify when you have made a purchase using the Service, allowing MillionPugs to determine when you have earned pugsā„¢. Affiliate Networksā€™ use of your personal information is subject to their privacy policies, and we encourage you to review these policies before directing us to share information with Affiliate Networks.

  • Game Publishers. At your direction, we may disclose information, including Personal Information, to Game Publishers to enable you to redeem pugsā„¢ for in-game content in Game Publishersā€™ games. We may share your email address UserID, and username. Game Publishersā€™ use of your personal information is subject to their privacy policies, and we encourage you to review these policies before directing us to share information with Game Publishers.

  • Legal. We may disclose information, including Personal Information, to law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, public authorities or pursuant to the exercise of legal proceedings if we are legally required to do so, or if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or request, to enforce our terms and conditions, to prevent or resolve security or technical issues, or to protect the rights, property or safety of MillionPugs, our users, a third party, or the public.

  • Change of corporate ownership. Personal Information about our users may be disclosed and otherwise transferred to an acquirer, successor, or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, or in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets.

  • Consent. We may also disclose Personal Information about you in other circumstances where we have your permission.

We may also disclose personal information in the following circumstances or as otherwise described in this policy:

  • If you provide a product review or otherwise share content on our Services, we disclose this information publicly and to other users of our Services.

  • If you choose to use integrations we offer on our Services, such as sharing your location through our Google Maps integration, we may disclose certain information with the integration partners.

  • We disclose personal information with third parties for their own services and marketing purposes in accordance with applicable law.

  • Personal information is disclosed between and among MillionPugs and our current and future parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries and other companies under common control and ownership.

If you would like to use an authorized agent to exercise your rights, we may request evidence that you have provided such agent with power of attorney, or that the agent otherwise has valid signed authority to submit requests on your behalf, and ask that you verify your identity directly with us.

You may update and correct certain account information at any time through your profile settings. You may decline to share certain Personal Information with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionality of the Service. If you wish to access, amend, or delete any other Personal Information we hold about you, you may contact us using the contact details at the end of this Policy.

If you receive commercial email from us, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions contained within the email. Our Browser Extension may send you notifications, such as alerts, sounds, and icon badges. When using our Browser Extension, you may turn off notifications by uninstalling our Browser Extension. You may also opt out of receiving commercial email from us and any other promotional communications that we may send to you from time to time, by contacting us using the contact details at the end of this Policy. Please be aware that after you opt out from receiving commercial messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us regarding the Service.

How to Block Cookies. You can block cookies by setting your internet browser to block some or all the cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our Services. By using our Website you consent to our use of cookies and our processing of information collected through such cookies, in accordance with our Policy.
